IAM Connect UPC 2022

October 2022

HGF is a gold sponsor at the IAM Connect UPC 2022.

This is an online event conducted over Zoom on the 30th November – 1st December. This event will allow leading in-house and private practice professionals from around the world to have in-depth discussions on the most important questions raised by the UPC and gain actionable insights into the new system.

HGF Partner & Head of Law Rachel Fetches will be hosting a panel discussion on ‘The sunrise period‘ on 1st December:

The sunrise period is a crucial time for European patent professionals, giving companies a brief window during which patents can be opted-out of the UPC prior to the court coming into being. This session will help delegates avoid the dangers associated with the opt-out process.

Panellists will discuss:

  • How can you be best prepared for the sunrise period?
  • What are the main dangers to avoid during this period?
  • What are the best practices for dealing with licensed patents?
