Medilink UK Brexit Webinar (Intellectual Property)

October 2019

Event date: 14th October 2019

HGF Patent Attorney Dr Frazer Bye is hosting Medilink UK webinar on the IP implications of Brexit on 14th October at 10am.

The government maintains that the UK will leave the EU on 31 October 2019, with or without a deal in place. This, therefore, leaves businesses with many questions on how they might be affected and what can be done to prepare.

Medilink UK is working with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to provide crucial advice and guidance. In the meantime, HGF Patent Attorney Dr Frazer Bye is hosting a webinar, where he will cover the main aspects of what to expect after the Brexit deadline. HGF Senior Trade Mark Attorney Jennifer Good will also be joining the webinar to answer all trade mark related questions.

The webinar will cover the following:

  • How IP rules might change after Brexit
  • Guidance for IP professionals
  • The effect of no-deal on EU patents, trade marks, designs and the exhaustion of rights, including importing and exporting
  • Risks and opportunities that Brexit presents for businesses.
