Sedona Conference 2024

February 2024

HGF is delighted to be attending the Sedona Conference 2024 in Munich.

The Sedona Conference will be held at The Charles Hotel in Munich, Germany on Tuesday-Wednesday, 5-6 March 2024. The conference will continue dialogue from the 2023 conference addressing issues in Global IP litigation.

HGF Partner and Head of Law Rachel Fetches will be speaking on the 2nd panel on 5th March, with Dr Tobias Wuttke, from Bardehle Pagenberg moderating the panel.

Panel 2 – The Role of Litigation Funding

Litigation funding is a relatively new development in Europe, but already billions of dollars have been raised and patent cases are an obvious choice for third-party funding. But with the U.K. Supreme Court’s ruling in Paccar v. Road Haulage, and the European Union’s announcement that it is investigating whether litigation funding should be regulated, is litigation funding in Europe still viable? Our panel will discuss this and more, with contributions from some of Europe’s leading funding organizations.

Other speakers on the panel include Azra Hadzimehmedovic and Jonathan Stroud.
